Ricoh Launches New Range of Versatile, Compact Black-and-White Multifunction Devices
Innovative A4 Footprint MFPs with unique A3 capability providing enhanced productivity and consistent user experience.
Sydney, October 13 2023 – Ricoh Australia has announced the launch of its latest range of black and white multifunction printers (MFPs) tailored to support businesses of all sizes in optimising day-to-day operations with technology that enhances productivity, increases data security, and creates new but familiar user experience in a compact all-in-one device.
Ideal for large enterprises as a desk-size device thanks to the small footprint, low noise levels, and solutions compatibility similar to Ricoh’s A3 devices. The new devices are also ideal for small to medium businesses which require small form factor central devices but with fast print speeds, greater paper capacity, and A3 capabilities.
The new IM 370F and IM 460F MFPs provide copy, print, scan, and fax as standard. They offer a higher print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi and print speeds of up to 37 ppm and 46 ppm respectively.
Key features include:
Smooth operation
The latest generation Smart Operation Panel marries powerful features, including a faster processor, capacitive touch panel, more memory and Bluetooth 5.2, with fast and simple navigation for a smooth and productive user experience. This all-new 7" Smart Operation Panel has been upgraded to Android OS 10, providing a completely customised Android OS specifically engineered for Ricoh-designed MFPs, making these devices highly robust against cybersecurity threats.
Brightness levels, touch sensitivity, and position detection have also been improved to give optimal access to the device’s many resources and functions.
RICOH Always Current Technology
RICOH Always Current Technology (ACT) allows users to install the latest device functions and security patches to keep devices up to date. New security-related features in the latest version include restricting users from printing PostScript or PDF files to keep the devices safer from malware and other harmful software. In addition, Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.3 SNMP v3 support Windows and LDAP user authentication.
Environmentally responsible
The outer mainframe uses 17% post-consumer recycled materials while the toner bottles are made from 100% recycled plastics. At the same time, the new Smart Operation Panel has new energy saving features which reduce its power consumption in Sleep Mode by 45 per cent.
These new compact desktop models are unique to the market with their ability to print, scan and send/receive faxes in A3 paper size through the bypass tray and Single Pass Document Feeder (SPDF). Further, customers in busy environments can add up to three optional paper feed units to give the devices a maximum input capacity of 2,100 sheets.
Sul Koralege, Product Manager, Ricoh Australia, said, “The new MFPs enhanced performance and productivity coupled with the unique A3 capability features will support today’s businesses looking to optimise office space and resources to accommodate hybrid work styles. Businesses will love the versatility of a full floor standing configuration with A3-level paper handling or a simple space saving desktop configuration for basic office use.
“The IM 370F and IM 460F will also be attractive to businesses looking for a comprehensive, cost-effective solution for diverse workflow needs that streamlines operations. They offer the flexibility to easily transition between paper and digital workflows, and provide the latest data security standards. “
“The inherent flexibility of the new series of black and white MFPs provide a perfect addition to today’s modern workplace that empowers teams to easily capture, print, share information, and digitise workflows.”
