An Overview

Sodexo operates at the heart of Australia’s energy and resources sector, supporting teams in places that range from bustling city offices to some of the most remote corners of the country.

Keeping thousands of workers connected across these vast distances is no small feat as it demands technology that is not only reliable, but effortless to deploy and maintain.

For nearly two decades, Ricoh has been a key part of that story. What began as a straightforward print solution has evolved into a dynamic partnership powering communication and collaboration nationwide. From hundreds of multifunction printers to modern video conferencing spaces and secure network infrastructure, Ricoh’s technology helps bridge the gap between isolation and connection.

In an environment where downtime isn’t an option, this partnership ensures Sodexo’s people can stay productive, supported, and seamlessly connected, no matter where the job takes them.

The Challenges

Across Sodexo’s vast Australian operations, distance isn’t just a detail, it’s the core challenge. Teams are spread across metropolitan offices, regional hubs, and remote mine sites, where even the simplest technical issue can quickly disrupt productivity. In these environments, there’s no margin for unreliable systems or complex fixes.

When something goes wrong on-site, they do not have the luxury of buying consumables or parts from a local supplier.  Delays can mean downtime, and downtime impacts operations. Sodexo needs technology that is not only robust and easy to use, but also simple to maintain and supported from afar. Sodexo required a partner that can deliver consistent, high-performing print, conferencing, and network solutions in locations where access, time, and resources are limited.

The Solution

Sodexo turned to Ricoh, a decision that would evolve into a long-term partnership focused on performance, scalability, and support in even the toughest environments.

What started with print has grown into a fully integrated technology ecosystem, helping with their facilities management. Today, more than 300 multifunction printers operate seamlessly across over 120 sites, supported by a streamlined supply chain that ensures critical consumables are always within reach, even in the most remote locations.

At the same time, modern video conferencing spaces, powered by platforms like Polycom and Yealink, have transformed how teams communicate, making distance irrelevant and collaboration immediate.

Behind the scenes, upgraded network infrastructure ensures secure, reliable connectivity. With predictive planning and tailored deployments, every site is equipped to perform.

The result is simple: consistent, dependable technology that keeps Sodexo’s people connected, productive, and ready for anything.

As well as the high-quality devices that Ricoh provides, it is really the quality f their people, and the support they deliver that makes them standout.
