The Challenges
Hero Print faced a shift in client demand toward smaller, more frequent print runs to accommodate client’s changing product data and marketing campaigns. This required the team to be highly responsive, completing multiple smaller jobs under tight deadlines. At the same time, Hero Print needed to maintain consistent, high-quality output across multiple production sites to meet client expectations reliably.
The Solution
Building on a decade-long partnership, Hero Print enhanced output quality and flexibility with the deployment of three RICOH Pro C9500 digital colour presses, each upgraded for high-speed productivity and multi-tray input. The tailored solution included long-sheet auto-perfection, Plockmatic booklet makers, high-capacity stackers, advanced finishing units, and Fiery press controllers with colour management software. Ricoh Supervisor provides real-time operational insights, enabling Hero Print to optimise performance, automate pre-press processes, and consistently deliver high-quality, diverse print outputs across multiple locations.

With Ricoh’s commercial printers fully deployed, Hero Print has expanded capacity to meet growing client demands while maintaining top-quality output. The ability to match print output nationally, through daily calibrations ensure consistent colour across all locations. This has enabled Hero to spread jobs across all sites, with the colour outputs nearing identical.
