The Customer: Churches of Christ Homes & Community Service (COCHACS)
With 1150 staff across 25 locations throughout Western Australia, COCHACS is one of the state’s largest aged care facilities and prides itself on the level of service it provides to the community. In the highly regulated industry of health and aged care, quality assurance is critical and government standards are constantly changing.
The Challenge
In line with standards set by the Department of Health and Ageing, the quality assurance manuals developed by Churches of Christ Homes & Community Service are constantly evolving. It was difficult to maintain document version control.
Because computers are only available to one third of the organisation’s workforce, it was difficult for all staff to access the latest manuals and their related forms without printing huge volumes of hard copies that quickly became redundant.

“It is a far better solution to have forms stored electronically in one central location to be accessed at the time of need, ensuring the latest form is being used,” Information Communications Technology Group Manager for COCHACS, Warren Sare.
