A more intelligent model 

Ricoh also has the ability to extend the functionality of its printing devices. Currently 25 Ricoh multifunctional and dedicated laser printers incorporate Ricoh’s Embedded Software Architecture. ESA is a gateway between the devices’ core functions and business applications. Businesses now have the means to transform their printers and copiers from standalone office devices to intelligent business application hubs.

And of course behind ESA is Ricoh’s Business Solutions Group to help turn business application ideas into a reality - whether they are customer, Ricoh, or third party generated. Where our customers used to ask ‘What can the device do?’ they are now able to ask ‘What can we get the device to do?’ And with ESA inside the majority of Ricoh office printing devices, we are now replying, ‘Whatever you want it to do!’
