Sustainable Communities Initiative

In early 2007 Ricoh was invited by the CSIRO to become a Foundation Partner in their Sustainable Communities Initiative (SCI).

The mission of the SCI is to create a more sustainable Australia by enabling communities to realise sustainable social, economic and environmental vitality. The program brings together participants from the public, private and civil society sectors, to work in partnerships with communities, to develop and deliver innovative, knowledge based solutions to local sustainability challenges and opportunities.

The CSIRO identified a strong strategic alignment between Ricoh’s organisational objectives and the SCI due to our national reach and profile, commitment to innovation and track record in working in Australian communities.

Ricoh is proud to be involved in this important initiative, committing to fund over $82.000 to projects over the next 3 years.
