Handle multiple datastreams at rated speeds
Be the commercial printer who says yes to multiple datastreams. The RICOH Pro VC60000's controller, the TotalFlow Print Server 600a, can handle PDF, PostScript, JDF and Intelligent Printer Data StreamTM (IPDSTM). Going back and forth with transform can put job fidelity at risk. No customer wants a little extra data on the page or a blank spot where a special character is supposed to be. Additionally, the controller RIPs through jobs at a pace that keeps up with the printer speed and spits out 1,200x1,200 dpi at 50 mpm or 600x600 dpi at 120 mpm. Your operators can log into the intuitive interface in the shop or remotely, so there are no lulls in the action.
Give every pixel its own special treatment
Ink, like variable data, has to be put in the right places for the highest quality. The drop-on- demand stainless steel printheads adjust ink drop size dynamically for every pixel. The RICOH Pro VC60000 production inkjet system uses only the amount needed, and not a speck more,so you won't waste ink. Our high-viscosity, quick-drying pigment ink helps prevent smearing, bleeding or blotches. And with two 10-litre containers for each colour, your operators can replace ink less often and on the fly, so there's no device downtime.
Like that paper? Use it.
Many production inkjet systems require you to use inkjet paper. You can, but don't have to, with our system. When you install the optional undercoater hardware, the world (of paper) is your oyster. The undercoat bonds to the paper and controls dot gain and beading. Even offset paper works. Since paper choices aren't restricted, put on your creative cap, or your accounting cap, and figure out what's best for the job at hand.
Give up parking spots to grow? No need.
Unless you have budget to expand or relocate, you have to work with the square footage you have. And right now, squeezing in another piece of equipment seems like threading yarn through a tiny needle eye. But there's likely wiggle room with the RICOH Pro VC60000's inline or L-shaped configuration options.
Put on an extra coat for inclement conditions
You produce a beautiful brochure and then it has to run the gauntlet through finishing and postal devices. Will it get through unscathed? This is a big concern for commercial printers, and we decided to do something to put your mind at ease. With the optional protective coat unit, you can safeguard inked areas or entire pages. Don't bother checking to see what the competitors offer. This is an industry first.
Turn up the temp to dry jobs quickly
Depending on the paper and ink coverage, the drying time for certain jobs is tricky. Good thing the RICOH Pro VC60000 has climate controls. You can turn on the heat with the optional extended dryer. And don't worry, it's dry heat (you know what they say about that), so you can send gorgeous jobs out the door, no sweat.
