Leading document capture and distribution integrates with Ricoh Australia

Ricoh Australia customers can now benefit from integrated, fast, accurate and secure document workflow solutions, with the company announcing that it has partnered with Nuance Communications, to distribute its entire range of eCopy enterprise software applications in Australia.

Nuance’s eCopy product line offers integration with Ricoh’s wide ranging portfolio of industry leading MFDs, printers and document & enterprise content management solutions, giving organisations the ability to create a seamless workflow system that will help improve their bottom line.

“eCopy allows customers to realise immediate, measurable improvements in their business workflow that will save time and money,” said Kathy Wilson, General Manager, Business Solutions and Production.

The eCopy product line offers a unique benefit through its ability to customise and integrate with existing business systems, but it can also be embedded directly onto Ricoh multifunctional devices.

“Our partnership with Nuance Communications means we can further extend our ability to offer increasing value to customers. We provide extensive support and expertise to our customers, which allows them to get the most out of their technology investment,” Wilson added.

Nuance Communications is a leading provider of solutions that integrate paper documents into enterprise software applications.  Ricoh Australia will be distributing the entire suite of eCopy products, including  eCopy Scanstation™, ShareScan®, PaperWorks™ and Connectors.

“Large workgroups and enterprises will immediately see the value of integrating Ricoh MFDs with popular business applications via eCopy ShareScan,” said Robert Weideman, senior vice president and general manager of Nuance’s Document Imaging Division. “Our joint technology offers a powerful combination, providing organisations with improved operational efficiency and streamlined workflow through extensive and easy to use integration to backend business systems.”

eCopy’s ShareScan® utilises Ricoh devices to convert paper-based information into electronic images that can be incorporated directly into the workflow of critical business processes. The software also provides unrivalled levels of auditing and tracking capabilities. It can be embedded directly on Ricoh’s multi-functional device control panel or can be attached via the eCopy ScanStation™, with an external touch screen, keyboard and PC that connects to the Ricoh device.

The  extensive eCopy Connector portfolio provides integration to a vast array of software applications, including EMC Documentum, Autonomy iManage and Microsoft SharePoint, to name a few of the extensive list of connectors available.
