Ricoh adds choice with Creo print server to flagship Pro C901

Customers now have a choice of controllers for Ricoh’s flagship colour digital press – the Ricoh Pro C901 – with the addition of the Creo C-81 print server.

The Creo C-81 controller, which will be on show at PrintEx11, joins the powerful EFI Fiery Controller in Ricoh’s print server offerings. Both print controllers will allow greater integration into a wider array of workflow and have production specification colour and file management capabilities.

“By adding the option of the Creo C-81, customers can choose the controller which is more suitable to their business, providing them with additional efficiencies and benefits,” said Dave Gully, Group Product Manager, Production Printing for Ricoh Australia.

Offering integration with a range of prepress systems and workflows, the easy-to-use
Creo C-81 offers automation, VDP handling as well as colour image and quality control amongst its multiple capabilities.

“The Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition has shortened the gap between digital and offset quality, widening the choice for graphics arts agencies, in-plant and commercial printers looking for an integrated print room,” Gully said. “The choice between controllers will further extend these capabilities to offer a more customised solution.”

The Creo C-81 will be available from June.

Customers can see the Creo C-81 and the Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition in action, along with the company’s latest range of products, services and solutions, at stand 4310 at Printex.
