BLI awards the Ricoh Aficio SP 3410SF for energy efficiency

The Ricoh Aficio SP 3410SF earned a Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI) “Outstanding Achievement” award for “Energy Efficiency” due to its significantly lower energy consumption than the other devices in its class.

During BLI’s stringent testing, the projected annual energy cost of the Ricoh Aficio SP 3410SF is 30 percent less than the competitive average.

BLI’s examination also revealed that there’s even more to this small workgroup monochrome A4 multifunction printer than just energy cost savings. In addition, users of the Ricoh Aficio SP 3410SF can reduce waste via the unit’s duplex setting, ID card copy, toner-save and toner recycling features. In addition, its tested toner yields exceed the declared specification and offer the highest impressions-per-gram yield for the group.
“It is essential for today’s organisations to have an energy efficient work environment”, said Philip Henry, General Manager of Marketing and Product Management, Ricoh Australia. “The Aficio SP 3410SF’s low energy consumption is just one way to approach environmental sustainability. Ricoh’s array of innovative software solutions, products and financial services all work together to help our customers save time, money and waste.”

BLI’s “Energy Efficiency” test measures the energy consumed by document imaging products in all operating modes as well as in energy-save, idle and sleep modes. In addition to reporting on a range of other environmental related features, such as run-ability with various grades of recycled paper, the reports include a projected annual energy consumption and cost based on real-world usage for each product segment.
