Ricoh takes home a host of BLI "Picks"

Ricoh’s colour multifunction devices and printers recently won a number of Buyers Laboratory Inc (BLI) awards, taking away “Picks” in five categories for their outstanding colour and performance.

Ricoh was awarded “Picks” for the following devices:

Each of the winning products offered superior colour that was backed by intuitive and robust overall performance. For example, the MP C2051 was found to be the most efficient model in its class, operating at a higher percentage of its rated speed than competitors. “In fact,” said David Sweetnam, head of Research and Lab Services for BLI’s UK laboratory, “it exceeds its rated speed when printing double-sided documents, which is crucial as users attempt to lower running costs and improve environmental friendliness. And it offers all this for a price that’s much lower than average.”

The Aficio MP C4501 also scored highly across the board when tested by BLI: “Whether you’re copying a single page, printing or copying sets, producing booklets, or scanning documents, the MP C4501 gets users back at their desks quickly,” said Sweetnam.

Ricoh stepped up the competition in the A4 MFD market with their MP C300 and MP C400 series, and it has paid off with both series given the nod from BLI.

“Ricoh really delivers quality and performance with the MP C300 and MP C400 series,” said BLI Senior Analyst for Printers and A4 MFPs Marlene Orr. “Both devices offer the full functionality and ease of use of the company’s copier line, are built on Ricoh’s open architecture platform to allow for seamless integration with software solutions and include flexible and robust management utilities. Adding to the package are fast speeds, bright color saturation and the ability to support heavier paper weights than many competitive models.”

“Our new A4 MFDs provide customers with access to various solutions that extend their resourcefulness while creating a complete product line to suit organisations of all sizes. Ricoh listens to our customers needs and the results speak for themselves,” said Philip Henry, General Manager of Marketing and Product Management for Ricoh Australia.
Ricoh also earned a Pick for the SP C430DN printer. “One of the most compelling things about the SP C430DN is that it ran at nearly identical speeds in simplex and duplex, so users don’t have to sacrifice productivity to conserve resources,” said BLI Associate Editor Carl Schell.

“It’s a great achievement to see so many of our MFDs and printers awarded for their quality and performance. We are continually developing our products to not just produce outstanding quality, but to help organisations reduce costs, waste and complexity within their business,” concluded Henry.
