Ricoh’s Ultra Short Throw Projectors gain award recognition at the Global CSR Awards 2014
SYDNEY, 17 April 2014 – Ricoh received recognition in the Product Excellence category at the recent 6th Annual Global CSR Awards 2014, Asia’s most prestigious event for outstanding contributions in Corporate Social Responsibility.
Over 150 entries were received from companies all over the world with Ricoh’s second generation Ultra Short Throw Projectors, PJ WX4141 Series, being recognised for its green features which contribute to positive environmental impact for customers.
“As part of the energy-saving features that reduce carbon footprint, Ricoh’s Ultra Short Throw Projectors operate in eco mode that cuts lamp intensity and power consumption by one-third, from 312 watt to 208 watt,” said Ragu Satkunam, Product Strategy Manager, ICT & Printers, Ricoh Australia. “This extends lamp life from 3,500 hours to 5,000 hours and its automatic power on/off feature allows the user to schedule turn-off time in advance.”
In addition to the green features, Ricoh’s Ultra Short Throw Projectors were also recognised for innovation. Different from other conventional projectors, the PJ WX4141 Series projectors are the world’s closest range projectors which can be placed just 11.7cm from the wall to project 48 inches image. Coupled with a compact, lightweight design, Ricoh’s projector range is ideal for small spaces and information displays. When combined with Ricoh Smart Presenter, an iPad application, it facilitates a meeting in a paperless environment and thereby reduces unnecessary printing.
