Ricoh launches range of brilliant projectors

Sydney, 25 May 2012: Ricoh describes their newest product range of business projectors, as ‘Brilliance in a box’. When you take into account their high-quality resolution, light-weight portability and the innovative Ricoh iPad app designed for paperless meetings, it’s hard not to agree.

“Ricoh are thrilled to announce the launch of this impressive range of business projectors. We have been in the precision optics and lens industry for years and now it’s our time to light the way with our own projectors,” said David Hampe, Manager - Product Strategy at Ricoh Australia.

Seven models make up this brilliant range. First up is the economical PJ 2000 series, which includes two models -
PJ WX2130
and PJ S2130. These models have resolutions of 2,600 and 2,700 lumens respectively, come with durable DLP® BrilliantColor™ technology and weigh in at just 2.5 kg. This makes them the ideal choice for meetings and small conference rooms or for taking on the road.

Next in the range is the PJ 3000 series. Consisting of four models, PJ X3241N, PJ X3241, PJ WX3231N and PJ X3131, this series is powerful yet lightweight. They require less space than a piece of A4 paper, stand just as tall as a standard ID card and weigh less than 2 kg.

There’s no middle child syndrome to contend with for the next model. The PJ WX4130N is the ultra short-throw model of the range and boasts the smallest footprint in the market. Casting an 80-inch image from less than 25 cm away from the screen, this model is perfect for classrooms and training facilities as well as digital signage in retail environments.

Rounding out the range is Ricoh’s brightest and most powerful projector model, PJ X5360N. With its 4,200 lumens brightness and weighing in at 3.9 kg, this model stands out from the crowd. File formats such as JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, MPEG2, WMV and MP4 can be projected directly from a USB device, meaning presentations can be made anywhere without a computer.

“Keeping in line with Ricoh’s commitment to helping our customers reduce their carbon footprint, we also have the Tamago Presenter app available to download for free,” stated Hampe. “This allows projector users to conduct paperless business meetings and presentations with ease using any current iPad model via wireless LAN.”

Once an iPad and a Ricoh network projector are connected under the same broadband cast domain with the Tamago Presenter, the projector will display PDF data stored on the iPad and can be shared with other participants via their iPad. Tamago Presenter is only available with the network models PJ X3241N, PJ WX3231N and PJ WX4130N.

All models from Ricoh’s range of business projectors are available for purchase.
