Ricoh Australia takes production print to new levels

Ricoh Australia has announced the Australian launch of TotalFlow – the global umbrella brand for Ricoh’s One-Stop Solution for production print operations.

Also launched this week are three new production solutions: Total Flow DocEnhance, Ricoh ProcessDirector Express and Digital StoreFront V6. The launch of these products signifies Ricoh Production’s continued expansion in solutions that provide customers a comprehensive suite of integrated solutions.

Getting ahead with TotalFlow Doc Enhance

An expansion of the TotalFlow workflow suite, Doc Enhance software is a plug-in that enables printers to make late stage alterations without having to go back to the design composition software.

Kathy Wilson, General Manager, Production and Business Solutions, said that TotalFlow Doc Enhance solves a major headache (and creates new business opportunities for small to mid-tier mailhouse printers): late stage alterations.

“Imagine, the PDF files are ready to go to print but then the client discovers a last-minute mistake, but the production house doesn’t have access to the original documents. TotalFlow Doc Enhance makes this scenario a non-issue because printers can easily make these changes on the fly.”

“With this new solution, printers can also offer document re-engineering as a new service, giving them potential new sources of revenue and a greater foothold in the cross-media marketing chain,” Wilson said.

Mailroom printing solved

With the launch of its Ricoh ProcessDirector Express - targeted squarely at mailroom production – Wilson says Ricoh has created the piece that completes its comprehensive mailroom offering.

The new software provides a single point of control for document output processes. It includes automated print management and a graphical workflow builder so that operators can easily apply business rules and logic.

The platform is easy to use, and modular – so that businesses can scale as their print

requirements grow. ProcessDirector Express also offers add-on features such as a PDF Mailroom Integrity Feature to give document-level control of PDF jobs, and 100 per cent closed-loop reprint automation of PDF files without transforms.

“This solution is designed to streamline operations,” says Kathy Wilson. “By making it easier to control document outputs, Ricoh ProcessDirector Express helps optimise your processes and productivity, which – in turn – helps lower costs in print operations.”

On call, online, all the time

Ricoh has also launched an updated version of EFITM Digital StoreFront V6. Designed for the printing industry, Ricoh Australia is the first reseller to bring this new software to Australia.

The Digital StoreFront has a host of new features including the first stage of mobile content delivery, responding to growing use of smartphones and tablets.  The platform also offers dynamic job ticketing that streamlines the workflow from submission to production and fulfillment. Customers can submit orders simply and intuitively, and the operator benefits from a simplified ticketing process.

Kathy Wilson comments, “In today’s competitive marketplace, with tighter turnarounds on many print jobs, businesses need to be universally accessible. Digital StoreFront V6 addresses this need – with a platform that helps printers meet their clients’ diverse print communication needs for top line growth, while providing an effective onramp to production for bottom line growth.”

The new solutions further extend Ricoh’s market-leading portfolio of production printing solutions.
