Ricoh wins series of awards from Buyers Laboratory LLC's

2015 Winter Pick Awards

SYDNEY – 6 February 2015 – Ricoh has won a total of 15 awards from the prestigious Buyers Laboratory LLC’s (BLI) 2015 Winter Pick awards. Presented twice a year, Pick awards acknowledge the hardware and software offerings that measure up as the best in BLI’s rigorous and comprehensive lab testing, which assess a wide range of factors most important to buyers.

BLI’s prestigious Line of the Year Awards are granted annually to the vendors whose products are determined to be the best in their respective categories of models tested in BLI’s rigorous two-month laboratory evaluations. Having run over 1.75 million impressions on the Ricoh devices that were tested, BLI has selected Ricoh as the 2015 A3 MFP Line of the Year.

“Ricoh has offered consistently outstanding products across its entire line. The company stands out from the rest in nearly every speed band,” said George Mikolay, BLI’s Senior Product Editor for A3 Copiers/MFPs. “From exceptional reliability to cutting-edge innovations, Ricoh shines in all of these key areas for buyers.”

In addition to being awarded A3 MFP Line of the Year, Ricoh was also acknowledged as the Most Energy Efficient A3 MFP Line of the Year with a 5-star overall rating on environmental tests.

Adding up to the two awards granted to Ricoh’s product line, Ricoh also claimed four awards for Outstanding Achievement in Energy Efficiency for individual models, the monochrome MP 3554SP (available in April 2015) and MP 5054SP, the colour MP C2003SP and MP C2503SP. The tested energy consumption of Ricoh’s eligible devices ranged from 39 percent to as much as 76 percent below their competitive averages.

In addition to these individual Energy Efficiency awards, BLI also grants the prestigious Pick Awards twice a year, recognising the best hardware and software evaluated over the past six months where Ricoh received the Winter 2015 Pick Awards for the monochrome MP 3554SP (available in April 2015), MP 5054SP and MP 9002, and colour MP C4503SP, MP C5503SP and MP C6003SP within their respective speed ranges.

John Hall explains, “One of Ricoh’s priorities is energy efficiency and reduction of the overall environmental impact. With our A3 line of MFPs, we aim to monitor the devices’ annual energy rates and try to realise fast recovery times from sleep mode, which helps our customers use the energy-saving settings without sacrificing productivity.”

In addition, Ricoh was awarded Picks for two of its A4 colour devices. The SP C252DN and SP C252SF were honoured in the small workgroup categories. According to BLI, the SP C252DN and SP C252SF series excel when it comes to reliability, simplicity and affordability.
