Ricoh Australia appoints John Hall as managing director

Sydney, 15th May 2014 - Ricoh has appointed John Hall as Australian managing director.

John Hall was previously managing director of Lanier Australia and has been part of the Ricoh Group leadership team since 2001. He has over 16 years' experience in the printing industry.

John's appointment follows the recent announcement of the integration of Lanier Australia and Ricoh Australia.

As managing director of Lanier Australia, John has been following the strategic direction of the Ricoh Group and the integration of the two businesses. John will therefore be able to provide a seamless transition in terms of direction and strategy.

John Hall said, "My immediate priority is to ensure the smooth integration of the Ricoh and Lanier teams. I'm also keen to continue to grow the business to $500 million in Australia. Ricoh Australia's focus will remain on innovation and providing value-added services to customers.

"During my tenure at Lanier Australia, I focused on delivering increasing value to customers and I plan to continue this focus at Ricoh.  Ricoh seeks to continuously expand services around workflow, document management and managed IT services while continuing to supply best-of-breed print solutions to government, corporate and professional print organisations."

John Hall said, "Ricoh is on a strong growth path in Australia and I'm excited to have the opportunity to lead the company at this time. I'd like to acknowledge outgoing managing director, Les Richardson, who led Ricoh Australia for six years and has positioned Ricoh well for the future. Les and I have worked closely on the integration of the two organisations. From this strong foundation I look forward to continuing to move the business forward."

John has extensive business experience and has worked in corporate finance and IT services.  His financial knowledge and business understanding will be key in successfully leading the Ricoh Australia organisation.
